Didn't see as many concerts this year as I normally do. There was sort of a dry spell for a while in terms of shows, although to be fair, there were also a handful of shows I wanted to go see and just couldn't, because they were a) sold out, b) bought out by scalpers, c) happening when I was sick, d) happening when other shows I wanted to see were happening and/or e) thousands of miles away.
But I did see a ton of great musicians and comedians this year. So let's delve into that! (Also, be warned, my voice is pretty scratchy this episode. Traveler's plague. Bleh.)
It's our last standard show of the year, so I'm playing a bunch of stuff I love, which means many of these tracks you've heard before, but I don't care - it's just a great show.
RIP Marie Fredriksson of Roxette. We celebrate that band a bit towards the end of this episode. Otherwise, it's chaos as per normal and maybe I even snuck in a gag I've been planning for a long time. Enjoy the show!
So it's not actually snowing in the Bay Area, but it is raining like nobody's business, and has been for almost two weeks now. So maybe that's influencing my mood. Maybe not. Enjoy tunes!
