It's a show full of fun and party and swing and gas. A decent amount of stuff from Japan in this one, but also music from Germany, Ireland, England, Scotland, France and that most romantic of locations, New Jersey.
Bring it, kids.
Welcome to our first midweek show. This one's a little light on me talking, because it's an hour of tunes I might spin if I were DJ'ing a club. But you know me, I gotta be me...
Hey folks, welcome to Year Two. As per my comments last week, this show is smaller, clocking in at a little more than an hour, but there will be another show on Monday or Tuesday, and then back again on Friday. That's right, twice a week, with bundles of energy and joy to keep you excited.
All that said, let's get this show on the road!
For #52, I wanted to do a best-of for our first year, and highlight many of my favorites that I've played throughout the last twelve months with a double-cherry picked primo tip-top show, that features music from England, Japan, Turkey, Taiwan, Russia, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Nigeria, France, Greece, Israel, Argentina, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Scotland, Serbia and that most foreign of locales, Nebraska.
This show is also a big boy XXL sized show, so get comfortable. Also, keep in mind, near the end of the show, I talk a bit about the changes we're going to go through for Year Two, and what that means to all of you. (TL;DR - Find more listeners.)
It's been a blast, and hopefully I'll see you guys again.
Lots of countries, lots of fun tunes, lots of strange combinations, but it should all be things you enjoy, or at least enjoy being exposed to. There's Canadian psychobilly, Australian political rock, Midwestern funk, French acid-house, Moroccan dub, Taiwanese rubber soul, and blasts from the past that ought to tickle and delight.
Go find a new person today to get to subscribe to the podcast. Even if you need to grab someone random on the street, or go print out a poster with the site's address and tape it to a telephone pole or a streetlight. More listeners means more shows! As President Obama said, "If a farmboy from Tatooine can save the galaxy, you can too."
Next week, big big show to celebrate one year of me doing this nonsense. Be here or be a [REDACTED].
Fifty episodes in! Seems like I'm doing a lot of these things, huh? Oh well, it's another mishmash show full of loads of fun things. I don't talk as much this week, simply because I've been stellarly busy with a bunch of other projects, but there's still tons of awesome music for you to go and listen to.
Bring a friend! Pack a lunch! Stay for the day!
